Whether its for lunch or dinner, make ahead or enjoy immediately, everyone loves a good old slider and these easy salmon cake sliders are no exception!
I absolutely love a good salmon recipe. And these easy salmon cake sliders are one of my favorites!
I honestly think I could have salmon several nights a week (unfortunately on the myWW green plan, it’s a bagillion points again! sigh!) Salmon tacos, baked salmon, salmon salad…I love it seriously any way! One of my favorite salmon recipes are my healthy three ingredient salmon cakes, which you can find the recipe for here. The salmon cakes are good, but you know what makes them even better?! Sandwiching them in between a roll and making these easy salmon cake sliders!
What you will need to make these easy salmon cake sliders
- 8 ounces canned salmon
- ⅓ cup original breadcrumbs
- 4 tbsp egg whites
- 4 Hawaiian King rolls
- 2 ounces dill sauce; I use Santa Monica Seafood brand
- 1/2 cup chopped kale
How to make these sliders
- Heat a frying pan on medium heat and spray with cooking oil (I use ghee spray for extra crisp).
- Combine 8 ounces of cooked canned salmon with egg whites and plain bread crumbs in a bowl.
- Mix with your hands until all ingredients are combined well.
- Form the salmon mixture into 4 equal sized patties.
- Place the salmon patties onto your hot frying pan and cook both sides until nice and crispy. (*note: the salmon is already cooked, so you are really just heating up the patties and crisping them up.*)
- Assemble the sandwiches by putting a cooked patty on each roll, ½ ounce of dill sauce and top with kale.
Can you store the salmon cakes in the refrigerator?
If you want to meal prep the salmon cakes ahead of time and make the sliders later, these salmon cakes can store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or in the freezer! These easy salmon cake sliders are so quick and simple to put together, they make for a great lunch (or dinner!) on the go option!
