Move over two ingredient dough, this 4 ingredient easy cauliflower pizza crust is the healthiest and most delicious alternative to pizza crust yet!
We all know and love two ingredient dough. It became a internet phenomenon (especially in the WW community) about a year ago. I, personally, have made everything from two ingredient dough from pizza crust to reuben bombs to cinnamon rolls and french dip sliders. You can find several of my 2ID recipes on this blog. Just search “two ingredient dough”.
I have developed such a love for this homemade dough that I often choose 2ID pizza’s over takeout these days. This 4 ingredient easy cauliflower pizza crust takes homemade pizza crusts to the next level, though!
Have you ever made cauliflower crust (whether from scratch or frozen store-bought) and no matter how much the recipe promises that it will be a hard, crispy, pick-up-with-your-hands-able (yes, I just made up a word there) crust, it just never turns out that way? Most times I find my cauliflower pizza crust having to be eaten more like a pile of mush with a fork. A delicious pile of mush, be it, but a pile nonetheless.
This cauliflower crust, though! This 4 ingredient easy cauliflower crust bakes perfectly into a pizza crust that you can cut and pick up by the slice with your hands!
How to make this cauliflower pizza crust
- Heat up one bag of frozen cauliflower in a pan. I use the frozen Trader Joes riced cauliflower, which is 12 ounces. You can also use raw cauliflower rice.
- Cook on medium heat until soft and tender.
- Place cooked cauliflower rice on a towel and twist & drain all excess water out of the cauliflower. Note: this step is incredibly important!! This is what helps the cauliflower crisp up in the oven. Try to get as much excess moisture out of the cauliflower as possible.
- Once the cauliflower is complained drained of moisture, pour into a mixing bowl.
- Mix the cauliflower with 1 egg, ⅓ cup self rising-flour, and ½ tbsp margarine (I use I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter).
- Mix all 4 ingredients until completely combined.
- Pour the cauliflower crust mixture onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and spread into the shape of your crust.
- Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- After the crust is golden brown, take out of the oven, top with your desired pizza toppings and put back in the oven for 5-10 minutes.
