Total Time 35 minutes
Servings 15 biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cup flour self-rising
  • 1/2 cup Nonfat Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup club soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 ounces cheddar cheese shredded, reduced fat
  • 3/4 cup Turkey Sausage Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked crumbles
  • 2 tsp butter I Can't Believe It's Not Butter

Instructions

  1. Mix nonfat Greek yogurt, self rising flour, club soda, baking powder and salt. NOTE: it will be incredibly sticky. Like, ruin the entire batch because 80% of it will stick to your hands sticky. I use my Kitchenaid mixer to do the mixing for me. If you don’t have access to a mixer, flour your hands and mix very slowly.

  2. Add in shredded cheese and sausage crumbles.

  3. After all ingredients are mixed, place the dough on a silicon baking mat and roll out until dough is about ½ inch thick. If you do not have a silicon baking bat, parchment paper will also work.

  4. With a round cookie cutter, or an upside glass, cut the dough into even round shapes. Dough should make 15 biscuits.

  5. Microwave butter for 20-30 seconds, until melted.

  6. With a baking brush, brush the top of each biscuit with butter.

  7. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes at 375, until golden brown.

Recipe Notes

This recipe makes 15 biscuits at 2 smartpoints each, based on the ingredients that I use. If you use different ingredients, make sure to adjust your points accordingly.
