This creamy lemon angel hair pasta with shrimp is so decadent, you wouldn’t even know it’s healthy.
Who doesn’t love a creamy, cheesy, flavorful pasta dish? There’s a reason why it is enjoyed by so many people and considered to be one of the ultimate comfort foods. As much as I try to be mindful of my eating and eat healthy as often as possible, sometimes a girl just wants a giant plate of creamy pasta.
I’ve never been a huge fan of red sauce. Aside from on my pizza (which I always order “light sauce” anyway), I have never really enjoyed marinara. Give me a white sauce, an alfredo sauce, a cream sauce any day. Unfortunately, though, those can get caloric AF.
This creamy lemon angel hair pasta with shrimp is made with just fat free milk, garlic, a little bit of butter, parmesan cheese, cornstarch, lemon juice and some water. It doesn’t get easier (or healthier) than that! And I promise it tastes every bit as good! Like, seriously.
What you will need to make the cream sauce
- Minced garlic, 1/2 tbsp
- Butter, 1 tbsp
- Fat-free milk, 1 cup
- Cornstarch, 1/4 tbsp
- Lemon juice, 1/2 tbsp
- Water, 1 tbsp
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Serve it with shrimp, chicken or eat it plain! This pasta recipe is incredibly simple, satisfying and sure to be a huge hit at your next family dinner.
